Welcome to MG Rail, where safety, customer service, and operational efficiency are our top priorities. We strive to do right thing, the right way, all of the time.

You can find us strategically located along the Ohio River in the heart of the Ports of Indiana Jeffersonville Terminal just minutes away from downtown Louisville, KY. We operate under the guidelines and authority of the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and maintain over 15 miles of track and a fleet of blue carded Locomotives. We serve Port tenant customers transporting commodities such as grains, fertilizer, minerals, oil, plastics, scrap, and steel coils to name a few. Our strategic location offers customers a variety of transportation mode options. In addition to our rail services, this location has the ability to transload products via truck, barge, or multimodal with on dock rail and an overhead crane service availability. Our regular switching hours are Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with weekend and extended hours available to schedule as crew availability allows. Please see our Freight Tariff 4577 located on the “Tariffs” tab for more details.

We interchange directly with CSXT and Norfolk Southern (via LIRC) to assist with excellent connectivity for your business needs.
