MG RAIL, Inc.

MG Rail, Inc. (MG Rail), a long-time terminal switch carrier serving the Ports of Indiana in Jeffersonville, began its history back in 1985. We currently operate and maintain approximately 15 miles of track handling a variety of commodities including grain, fertilizer, minerals, oil, plastics, scrap metals and steel. We have the ability to interchange with both CSXT and Norfolk Southern (via LIRC) which allows our customers options for routing and pricing of their rail traffic. Switching service is available during our normal business hours Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. with evening and weekend hours available to schedule. MG Rail is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Consolidated Grain and Barge Co. (CGB). CGB operates 110+ grain facilities with access to barge, rail, and/or truck across the Midwest and beyond. In addition to grain facilities, the company has sizable operations in logistics and transportation, agri-finance, soybean processing, producer risk management, and other related businesses.
